If you want an exercise plan to lose weight fast it is likely that you haven’t been to the gym in a while. If this is the caseĀ  the best option is to go for exercises that work multiple muscles and large groups of muscles. The following is an example of an exercise plan to lose weight fast.

Lose Weight Fast Exercise Plan for the Upper Body

Machine Chest Press: This is a really good basic chest exercise that will help build basic upper body strength. The primary muscles worked are the pectorals with a secondary action on the shoulders and triceps. A no machine alternative would be slow push ups

Machine Pec Fly: This exercise will isolate the chest muscles but it is included because it works within a fixed range of motion and so the risk of injury is low.

Assisted Pull Up: This is a great exercise for the whole of the back that can be performed by anyone. This should be included in every whole body workout.

Cable Seated Row: A good exercise that works the muscles of the back. Secondary muscles worked are the biceps.

Lat Pull Downs: Another great exercise that works the back and biceps

Machine Shoulder Press: This is another great strength building exercise for the shoulders that can be performed safely by people whoi have little experience of the gym

Machine Bicep Curls: This is a basic but effective exercise to help build up strength in the arms

Machine Triceps Extension: Another great beginners exercise that builds strength in the arms and gives your tricep muscles a good all round shape.

Lose Weight Fast Exercise Plan for the Lower Body

Machine Leg Extension: A good basic exercise that works the quads.

Machine Leg Press: This is a great exercise for beginners that works the large muscles of the leg. When developing my lose weight fast exercise plan this is the first exercise that I thought of as it works the largest muscles in the body.

Lying Machine Leg curl: This is a good exercise to work the hamstrings. It should be performed slowly with no jerks to avoid a pulled ham.

Seated Leg Curl: Alternative to the exercise above that also works the hamstrings.

Calf Raise: A great exercise for your calves which should not be ignored.

All of the above exercises can be performed with reasonable ease on machines in the gym. However once you have built up your strength you should consider moving on to using free weights as these will work more muscle groups whilst also working your core muscles. In order to do these exercises correctly you should consult one of the personal trainers at your gym who will be more than happy to help you out

I have deliberately left out any abdominal exercises as you do not need to work your ab’s to lose weight. However once you have shed that belly fat you may want to include these so you can show off your new body!
